Fish is a collection of mixed-media collages in which The Foreign Quarterly Review, a book published in 1835, was the canvas. Using pastel, chalk, charcoal, and found objects, Cole drew, incorporated, or otherwise depicted fish directly on the pages at random intervals throughout the book.
